Ich habe gerade eine ganze Passage von Asgaroon – Band 6 – 8 überarbeitet und einen recht dünnen Handlungsstrang erfolgreich mit Detailreichtum und Tiefe versehen. Ein Aspekt auf den ich besonders stolz bin und den ich für ganz gelungen halte, ist das Verhältnis zwischen Samuel Blumfeldt, dem ehemaligen Leiter des Falthurea Sektors auf der Hafenwelt Scutra und seinem alten Kumpel Thomas van Veyden. Zuvor legte ich fest, dass Blumfeldt davon wusste, dass van Veyden ein unsterblicher Solanu – ein Kind der alten Erde – ist. Aber mir schien es jetzt besser davon auszugehen, dass Samuel Blumfeldt dies nun eher für die Hirngespinste eines alten Zausels hält. Den Wahnsinn eines Sonderlings, der durch seinen enormes Wissen über das Alte Reich, den Verstand verloren hat und sich inzwischen einbildet ein Ritter aus dieser mythischen Zeit zu sein. Ein Ritter, der ein wachsames Auge auf die Hinterlassenschaften Sargons hat, und dessen Wacht schon viele Jahrtausende andauert.
I just revised a whole passage of Asgaroon Volume 6 to 8 and a thin plotline is now successfully filled with detail and depth. One aspect to which I am particularly proud of and consider all managed well, is the relationship between Samuel Blumfeldt, the former head of Falthurea sector on the Spaceportworld Scutra and his old pal Thomas van Veyden. Previously, I stipulated that Blumfeldt knew about that van Veyden is an immortal Solanu - a child of the old earth. But it seemed to me better now assumed that Samuel Blumfeldt now considers it more likely for the ravings of an old Eccentric. The madness of a very special Guy, who lost his Mind because of his vast knowledge of the “Old Kingdom“. In his mind and imagines he becomes a Knight of this mythical time. A knight who has a watchful eye on the legacies of Sargon, and his watch has lasted for many millennia.
