Warum sich das Warten auf Nomads16 lohnt!
Liebe Leserinnen und Leser,
ich weiß, viele von euch warten sehnsüchtig auf Nomads16. Leider muss ich euch noch um etwas Geduld bitten. Derzeit bin ich stark in Verlagsarbeiten eingebunden und arbeite an anderen Projekten, die dringend gestartet oder vorangetrieben werden müssen – teils auch aus finanziellen Gründen. Diese Projekte stehen nicht direkt mit meiner Schriftstellerei in Verbindung, drängen sich aber momentan in den Vordergrund.
Wäre es nicht schön, ausschließlich vom Schreiben leben zu können? Dann könnte ich mich voll und ganz meinen Charakteren und der Handlung von Nomads und Nomads Legacy widmen. Doch die Realität sieht anders aus, und so wird Nomads16 noch etwas auf sich warten lassen.
Ein weiteres Problem ist, dass ich oft längere Pausen beim Schreiben einlegen muss. Wenn ich dann wieder einsteige, muss ich die vorherigen Seiten erneut lesen, um in die Geschichte zurückzufinden. Das kostet Zeit und erschwert den Schreibfluss. Früher konnte ich täglich zehn Seiten schreiben – heute sind es leider nur wenige.
Aber es gibt auch einen Vorteil: Wenn ein Manuskript eine Weile ruht, kann ich es später mit frischem Blick betrachten – fast wie ein Leser, der die Geschichte zum ersten Mal erlebt. Dabei fallen mir Dinge auf, die ich zuvor übersehen habe, weil ich als Autor zu viel Vorwissen hatte. So kann ich das Buch verbessern und es noch besser machen.
Mein Tipp an alle, die ein Buch schreiben: Legt euer Manuskript nach dem ersten Entwurf für zwei bis drei Monate beiseite. Wenn ihr es dann erneut lest, werdet ihr viele Möglichkeiten zur Verbesserung entdecken.
In diesem Sinne: Manchmal bringt eine Pause neue Perspektiven. Einen schönen Tag euch allen!

I know many of you are eagerly awaiting Nomads16. Unfortunately, I have to ask for a bit more patience. Currently, I’m deeply involved in publishing work and other projects that need to be initiated or pushed forward—some for financial reasons. These projects aren’t directly related to my writing but are taking precedence at the moment.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to live solely from writing? Then I could fully dedicate myself to my characters and the storyline of Nomads and Nomads Legacy. But reality is different, and so Nomads16 will take a bit longer.
Another issue is that I often have to take extended breaks from writing. When I return, I need to reread previous pages to get back into the story. This takes time and disrupts the writing flow. In the past, I could write ten pages a day—now, it’s unfortunately just a few.
However, there’s also an advantage: When a manuscript rests for a while, I can later approach it with fresh eyes—almost like a reader experiencing the story for the first time. I notice things I previously overlooked because, as the author, I had too much prior knowledge. This allows me to improve the book and make it even better.
My tip to anyone writing a book: After completing your first draft, set it aside for two to three months. When you read it again, you’ll discover many opportunities for improvement.

Sé que muchos de ustedes esperan con ansias Nomads16. Lamentablemente, debo pedirles un poco más de paciencia. En este momento estoy muy involucrado en trabajos editoriales y otros proyectos que necesitan iniciarse o impulsarse con urgencia, en parte también por motivos económicos. Estos proyectos no tienen una relación directa con mi labor como escritor, pero actualmente reclaman prioridad.
¿No sería genial poder vivir solo de la escritura? Entonces podría dedicarme por completo a mis personajes y a la historia de Nomads y Nomads Legacy. Pero la realidad es otra, y por eso Nomads16 tardará un poco más en llegar.
Otro problema es que, a menudo, debo hacer largas pausas en la escritura. Cuando retomo el manuscrito, tengo que releer las páginas anteriores para volver a entrar en la historia. Eso consume tiempo y dificulta el flujo creativo. Antes solía escribir diez páginas al día – hoy, lamentablemente, solo consigo unas pocas.
Pero también hay un lado positivo: cuando un manuscrito descansa un tiempo, puedo volver a él con una mirada fresca – casi como un lector que descubre la historia por primera vez. Así noto detalles que antes pasaban desapercibidos, porque como autor tengo demasiado conocimiento previo. Eso me permite mejorar el libro y hacerlo aún mejor.
Mi consejo para todos los que estén escribiendo un libro: después del primer borrador, dejen el manuscrito reposar dos o tres meses. Cuando lo lean de nuevo, descubrirán muchas oportunidades para mejorarlo.

Je sais que beaucoup d’entre vous attendent avec impatience Nomads16. Malheureusement, je dois vous demander un peu plus de patience. Actuellement, je suis profondément impliqué dans des travaux d’édition et d’autres projets qui doivent être lancés ou accélérés—certains pour des raisons financières. Ces projets ne sont pas directement liés à mon écriture mais prennent le dessus en ce moment.
Ne serait-il pas merveilleux de vivre uniquement de l’écriture ? Je pourrais alors me consacrer pleinement à mes personnages et à l’intrigue de Nomads et Nomads Legacy. Mais la réalité est différente, et donc Nomads16 prendra un peu plus de temps.
Un autre problème est que je dois souvent faire de longues pauses dans l’écriture. Lorsque je reprends, je dois relire les pages précédentes pour me replonger dans l’histoire. Cela prend du temps et perturbe le flux d’écriture. Autrefois, je pouvais écrire dix pages par jour—aujourd’hui, c’est malheureusement juste quelques-unes.
Cependant, il y a aussi un avantage : lorsqu’un manuscrit repose pendant un certain temps, je peux ensuite l’aborder avec un regard neuf—presque comme un lecteur découvrant l’histoire pour la première fois. Je remarque des choses que j’avais auparavant négligées parce que, en tant qu’auteur, j’avais trop de connaissances préalables. Cela me permet d’améliorer le livre et de le rendre encore meilleur.
Mon conseil à tous ceux qui écrivent un livre : après avoir terminé votre premier brouillon, mettez-le de côté pendant deux à trois mois. Lorsque vous le relirez, vous découvrirez de nombreuses possibilités d’amélioration.
