Gerade schreibe ich an Dragons of Arandor, entwickle die Mythologie weiter und arbeite an Texten für VGWort – was ich übrigens jeder und jedem Autor*in sehr empfehlen kann.

Das war mein kleiner Einblick in meinen Schreiballtag. Vielleicht inspiriert es dich ja, mal den Schreibtisch zu verlassen.

Écrire dans le tumulte : pourquoi j’ai besoin de la foule pour créer

Aujourd’hui, je souhaite partager un aperçu de ma manière d’écrire. Beaucoup d’auteurs aiment la solitude, leur petit univers tranquille – comme des princes ou des princesses dans leurs tours, totalement dévoués à leur imagination.

Moi, c’est l’inverse. Mon inspiration naît du tumulte. J’aime écrire dans les cafés. À cet instant, il y a une file d’attente, des enfants bruyants, une serveuse qui jongle entre clients agréables et désagréables, et un marché aux puces à l’extérieur. Des sirènes, du mouvement, de la vie.

C’est ce dont j’ai besoin. Je peux écrire sur mon balcon, bien sûr, mais rapidement, l’envie de sortir me gagne. J’ai besoin de la rue, du bruit, des gens.

J’adore aussi écrire à la plage – mais pas sur une plage déserte. Je préfère les plages animées, pleines de conversations en différentes langues. Surtout lorsque je suis en vacances, principalement en Italie, je m’installe volontiers sur le sable avec mon carnet ou mon ordinateur. Le bruit des vagues, le soleil et les voix me stimulent énormément. Peut-être suis-je un peu à part, mais c’est essentiel pour moi.

En ce moment, je travaille sur Dragons of Arandor, j’approfondis la mythologie, et je produis du contenu pour la VGWort – que je recommande vivement à tout auteur.

Voilà un petit aperçu de ma routine d’écriture. Peut-être cela t’inspirera-t-il à sortir de ton cocon pour écrire ailleurs.

Writing in the Crowd: Why I Need People to Create

Let me give you a little insight into how I write. Many authors love solitude – their own little writing nook, like princes or princesses in their towers, giving themselves entirely to imagination.

For me, it’s different. My creativity comes alive in a vibrant environment. I love writing in cafés. Right now, people are lining up, kids are loud, the server is dealing with kind and not-so-kind customers, and outside there’s a flea market. A police car drives by, maybe an ambulance – it’s alive out there.

That’s exactly what I need. Sure, I can write on my balcony, but eventually, the urge hits me to go outside, dive into the hustle.

I also love writing at the beach – but not a deserted one. I prefer busy beaches, full of people chatting in different languages. Especially when I’m on vacation, most often in Italy, I find myself drawn to the shore with my notebook or laptop. The sun, the sound of the waves, and the vibrant mix of voices are deeply inspiring. Maybe I’m a bit of an oddball, but it’s truly vital for me.

Currently, I’m working on Dragons of Arandor, developing the mythology and creating content for VGWort – which I highly recommend to all writers.

Scrivere nel caos: perché ho bisogno della folla per creare

Oggi voglio offrirvi un piccolo sguardo nel mio modo di scrivere. Molti autori amano la solitudine, il loro angolino tranquillo – come principi o principesse nelle loro torri, immersi nella fantasia.

Per me è il contrario. La mia creatività nasce dall’ambiente vivo. Amo scrivere nei caffè. In questo momento, ci sono persone in fila, bambini rumorosi, una cameriera che gestisce clienti gentili e scontrosi, fuori c’è un mercatino. Passa una pattuglia, magari un’ambulanza – c’è movimento.

Questo è ciò che mi serve. Posso scrivere anche sul balcone, ma prima o poi sento il bisogno di uscire, di buttarmi nella mischia.

Adoro anche scrivere in spiaggia – ma non su una spiaggia deserta. Preferisco quelle affollate, piene di voci in tante lingue diverse. Soprattutto quando sono in vacanza, spesso in Italia, mi porto sempre un quaderno o il portatile con me. Il sole, il suono del mare e il chiacchiericcio intorno mi ispirano profondamente. Forse sono un tipo strano, ma per me è davvero importante.

Ora sto lavorando su Dragons of Arandor, approfondendo la mitologia e producendo testi per VGWort – che consiglio vivamente a tutti gli autori.

Questo era un piccolo scorcio sulla mia giornata da scrittore. Magari ti ispira a uscire di casa per scrivere anche tu.

Escribir entre la gente: por qué necesito movimiento para crear

Hoy quiero compartir un poco cómo escribo. Muchos autores prefieren la soledad, su pequeño mundo apartado – como príncipes o princesas en sus torres, entregados por completo a la fantasía.

Yo soy diferente. Mi creatividad surge del entorno vivo. Me encanta escribir en cafés. Ahora mismo hay cola, niños haciendo ruido, una camarera que trata con clientes agradables y desagradables. Afuera hay un mercadillo, pasa un coche de policía, quizás una ambulancia – hay movimiento.

Eso es lo que necesito. Claro que puedo escribir en el balcón, pero tarde o temprano siento el impulso de salir, de sumergirme en la multitud.

También me encanta escribir en la playa – pero no en una playa desierta. Prefiero las playas llenas de gente, donde se oyen conversaciones en muchos idiomas. Especialmente cuando estoy de vacaciones, normalmente en Italia, llevo conmigo mi cuaderno o portátil. El sol, el sonido del mar y el murmullo constante me inspiran profundamente. Tal vez soy un poco raro, pero eso es esencial para mí.

Ahora estoy escribiendo Dragons of Arandor, desarrollando su mitología y trabajando para VGWort – lo cual recomiendo a todo escritor.
