Nun endlich ist es soweit. Nach einer langen Phase des Schreibens wird Ausgabe 12 der NOMADS Reihe endlich an den Start gehen. Am 14. Juli, um 0:00 Uhr ist es soweit. Ich bin gespannt darauf, wie hoch der Balken für die Verkaufszahlen nach oben ausschlagen wird. In jedem Fall stellt eine Veröffentlichung einen Peak dar, der aus dem gewöhnlichen Geschäft herausragt. Ich bin zuversichtlich, dass dieser Peak sich von den anderen abheben wird, die bei jeder Neuveröffentlichungen zu verzeichnen waren. Ich freue mich jedenfalls, dass NOMADS schon im Vorfeld dieser neuen Veröffentlichung gesteigertes Interesse entgegengebracht wurde. Daher glaube ich an einen neuen Rekord an Verkaufszahlen zu dieser Premiere.
Ich muss meinen Lesern danken, die so große Geduld mit mir haben, da ich nicht zu den Fließband-Autoren gehöre, die ihr Publikum alle zwei bis drei Monate mit neuem Stoff versorgen. Ich würde das auch gerne können, aber mir ist die Qualität des Romans wichtiger, als alles andere. Hin und wieder arbeite ich ganze Passagen neu um, wenn ich mit dem Setting einer Szene, oder deren Atmosphäre nicht zufrieden war. Für mich muss alles stimmig und einigermaßen logisch sein. Für Logik kann man nicht immer sorgen. Immerhin hat man es mit einer fiktiven Geschichte zu tun und als Autor kann man auch keine göttliche Unfehlbarkeit erreichen, auch wenn man das gerne möchte. Für was ich sorgen kann, sind exotische Welten, interessante Charaktere und Handlungsabläufe, die der Bezeichnung Spaceopera gerecht werden.
Ich denke, mit NOMADS 12 – Stunde des Schicksals, ist mir ein guter Wurf gelungen, den Leser zu fesseln und zu verblüffen. Und wieder kommt die Geschichte um die NOMADS nicht zu einem Ende. Zu viele Fragen sind noch ungelöst, zu viele Wege offen, die man noch beschreiten kann…
Nomads 12 – Hour of Destiny
Now finally the time has come. After a long period of writing, issue 12 of the NOMADS series will finally be launched. On July 14, at 0:00, the time has come. I’m looking forward to seeing how high the sales bar will swing up. In any case, a release represents a peak that stands out from the ordinary. I’m confident that this peak will stand out from the others that have occurred with each new release. In any case, I am pleased that NOMADS has already received increased interest in advance of this new release. Therefore, I believe in a new record of sales for this premiere.
I have to thank my readers who have been so patient with me, as I am not one of those assembly line authors who provide their audience with new material every two to three months. I’d like to be able to do that, too, but I care more about the quality of the novel than anything else. Every now and then I rewrite whole passages if I wasn’t satisfied with the setting of a scene or its atmosphere. For me, everything has to be coherent and somewhat logical. You can’t always ensure logic. After all, we are dealing with a fictional story and as an author you cannot achieve divine infallibility, even if you would like to. What I can provide for are exotic worlds, interesting characters, and plots that live up to the name space opera.
I think with NOMADS 12 – Hour of Destiny, I managed a good throw to captivate and amaze the reader. And again the story about the NOMADS does not come to an end. Too many questions are still unresolved, too many paths are still open to be taken…
