Disney Star Wars - Kenobi
Nun ist die Star Wars Obi Wan Kenobi Show vorbei. Und was soll ich sagen? Ich war so gespannt, so gehyped auf die Serie. Und nun, da sie vorbei ist, würde ich gerne sagen können, mich bewege ein melancholischer, süßer Abschiedsschmerz. Aber was ich fühle, ist Enttäuschung und Ärger. Jemand könnte jetzt sagen, das läge an meiner Erwartungshaltung. Doch nein. Daran liegt es nicht. Die Mängel sind so offensichtlich, dass es nichts gibt, was darüber hinwegtäuschen kann, dass die Serie eilig und ohne Können hingerotzt wurde. Ich bin geradezu entsetzt über die Arroganz von Disney, die Fans mit einem derart minderwertigen Kram abzufertigen. Und das, nachdem man uns fast 3 Jahre hingehalten hat. Und da liegt schon mal das erste Übel.
Wie kann es sein, dass ein milliardenschwerer Konzern, nach 3 Jahren Produk- tionszeit eine so erbärmliche Leistung abliefern kann? Plotholes, Ungereimtheiten und schlichter dramaturgischer Dilettantismus, zeichnen jede Episode von Kenobi aus. Mir schein es, als genüge es Disney lediglich einige der beliebtesten Star Wars Charaktere herauszukramen, sie in eine halbgare Geschichte und eine spröde filmi- sche Komposition zu packen und darauf zu hoffen, dass ein Großteil der Fans sich damit zufriedengibt, seine Lieblinge in Bewegung zu sehen. Kann es tatsächlich sein, dass das für die Mehrheit der Fans komplett ausreichend ist? Anders kann ich mir dieses konsequente Abliefern von peinlichem Schrott nicht erklären.
Bitte, lieber Mauskonzern, holt sowohl die anspruchsvollen als auch die weniger
anspruchsvollen Fans ab und macht damit noch mehr Gewinn. Wie? Ganz einfach. Die schlichteren Gemüter habt ihr in jedem Fall, sobald sich ein Objekt der umfang- reichen Star Wars Spielzeugsammlung auf dem Bildschirm oder der Leinwand in Life-Action bewegt. Die Fans, die etwas mehr benötigen wünschen sich nur eine aus- gefeiltere Story und eine mitreißende Dramaturgie. Dafür muss man nur ein paar Dollar mehr in die Hand nehmen und ein gutes Team von Schreibern und renom- mierten Regisseuren engagieren. Wenn euch das gelingt, legt sich der berechtigte Zorn über den Umgang mit einem der erfolgreichsten Franchises und der Umsatz wird sich erheblich steigern. Wenn euch schon die Kunst nicht interessiert, dann macht euch darüber mal Gedanken. Denn wer Qualität abliefert, wird nicht nur kurz- zeitig absahnen, sondern wird die Kuh über Jahrzehnte weiter melken können.

Now the Star Wars Obi Wan Kenobi show is over. And what can I say? I was so excited, so hyped for the series. And now that it’s over, I’d like to be able to say I’m moved by a melancholy, sweet farewell pain. But what I feel is disappointment and anger. Someone might now say that this is due to my expectations. But no. It is not because of that. The flaws are so obvious that there is nothing that can hide the fact that the series was hastily and without skill hingerotzt. I’m appalled at the arrogance of Disney to dump the fans with such inferior stuff. And that after we have been stalled for almost 3 years. And there lies the first evil.
How can it be that a multi-billion dollar company can deliver such a miserable performance after 3 years of production? Plotholes, inconsistencies and simple dramaturgical dilettantism characterize every episode of Kenobi. It seems to me that Disney is content to simply pull out some of the most popular Star Wars characters, pack them into a half-baked story and a brittle cinematic composition, and hope that the majority of fans will be content to see their favorites in motion. Can it really be that this is completely sufficient for the majority of fans? I can’t explain this consistent delivery of embarrassing junk any other way.
Please, dear mouse company, pick up both the demanding and the less demanding fans and make even more profit. How? Simple. You’ll have the plainer minds in any case as soon as an object from the extensive Star Wars toy collection moves into life action on the screen or canvas. The fans who need something more just want a more elaborate story and a rousing dramaturgy. For that, you just need to put a few more dollars in your hand and hire a good team of writers and renowned directors. If you succeed, the justified anger about the handling of one of the most successful franchises will subside and sales will increase considerably. If you don’t care about the art, then think about it. If you deliver quality, you will not only be able to cash in in the short term, but you will be able to milk the cow for decades to come.
